With over 20 years of work experience in the energy sector, Ms Purina is an expert in energy efficiency and financing schemes for the implementation of EE/RES projects. Her expertise extends beyond the technical aspects of energy efficiency to include over 10 years of experience in technical assistance and international cooperation projects in Central Asia and the Balkans region. Currently, at MES she is leading the Energy Efficiency direction.

She has also collaborated with international financing institutions and contributed to the development and implementation of national-level investment programs.

Ms Purina has studied Environmental Sciences and Management at the University of Latvia and gained PhD in Social Sciences Engineering from the Institute of Physical Energetics.
