Mindaugas Stonkus has more than 15 years of experience related to the energy efficiency field and energy sector. Currently serving as the Head of the Energy efficiency policy group at the Ministry of Energy and as the Key Expert for Energy Efficiency at MES.

He has broad experience to lead and contribute to the development and implementation of legal acts for example Energy efficiency law, and strategic and planning documents such as NECP, Energy Strategy, Public Buildings renovation program and others.

Mindaugas is participating in working groups of the European Commission and European Council and took part in the preparation of Energy efficiency directives. Also, he has worked on transposing and implementing European legislation such as Energy efficiency directives 2012/27/EU and 2018/2002/EU into Lithuanian national legislation.
