Dr Karolis Janusevicius
Associated expert brings extensive knowledge in sustainability and energy efficiency. He has experience in the public and private sectors. Throughout his career, he contributed to developing energy efficiency from development projects to the national level as a researcher, designer, consultant and head of the energy efficiency competence centre at the Lithuanian energy agency. Also, he has extensive energy efficiency policy implementation in Lithuania, Moldova and Georgia. Has worked on multiple EU-funded projects related to policy implementation (Horizon2020 and Life IP programs) Karolis has studied Energy engineering at VilniusTECH university, Lithuania and defended his PhD in Mechanical engineering, (specializing in heat transfer, applied thermodynamics and fluid mechanics) at the same university.
Mindaugas Stonkus
Mindaugas Stonkus has more than 15 years of experience related to the energy efficiency field and energy sector. Currently serving as the Head of the Energy efficiency policy group at the Ministry of Energy and as the Key Expert for Energy Efficiency at MES. He has broad experience to lead and contribute to the development and implementation of legal acts for example Energy efficiency law, and strategic and planning documents such as NECP, Energy Strategy, Public Buildings renovation program and others. Mindaugas is participating in working groups of the European Commission and European Council and took part in the preparation of Energy efficiency directives. Also, he has worked on transposing and implementing European legislation such as Energy efficiency directives 2012/27/EU and 2018/2002/EU into Lithuanian national legislation.
Medea Zhvania
Ms. Zhvania is based in Tbilisi, Georgia and supports the implementation of the Georgian Energy Sector Reform (GESRP). Prior to joining MES, Medea worked for several local and international organizations. Her professional experience includes the preparation and delivery of foreign government-funded programs. She is skilled in analytics, strategizing and leading cross-functional teams. Medea holds a Bachelor's degree in Law and is currently a Master’s student in GenderStudies at Tbilisi State University. She also volunteers at a European network of women’s rights organizations, based in Belgium, to promote feminist economic justice across Europe and the Global South.
